Recipe

  • Step 1
    Add 20 g of ground coffee into the portafilter and distribute evenly.
  • Step 2
    Tamp firmly and level to create a uniform coffee bed.
    An even tamp prevents channeling and improves shot balance.
  • Step 3
    Lock the portafilter into the espresso machine and start extraction immediately.
  • Step 4
    Allow the espresso to extract for 20–28 seconds until a thick, honey-like stream forms.
    A slow, syrupy flow indicates proper extraction.
  • Step 5
    Stop the shot once the crema begins to thin and serve immediately.
