South Indian Filter Coffee - Black

Recipe

  • Step 1
Add 20 g coffee into the upper chamber of the filter and level gently without tamping.
  • Step 2
Place the pressing disc lightly over the coffee bed.
Do not compress strongly — gentle contact ensures proper drip flow.
  • Step 3
Pour hot water slowly over the coffee until the chamber is filled.
  • Step 4
Cover and allow the decoction to drip slowly into the lower chamber.
Slow dripping creates the signature thick aromatic extract.
  • Step 5
Once extraction completes, dilute 40–60 ml decoction with hot water to reach preferred strength.
  • Step 6
    Stir gently and serve hot.
